Arriving in Amsterdam and getting around
Flights from the UK to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) take just over an hour, and trains from Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal take around 15 minutes. You can also travel by Eurostar from London St Pancras directly to Amsterdam Centraal.
The centre is compact and easy to explore on foot, by tram or by bike, but watch out for cyclists. You won't need a car in the city, and parking is expensive.
