Which part of Ibiza?
Ibiza is small enough to drive across in under an hour. The south, around Ibiza Town, Talamanca and Playa d'en Bossa, is closest to the airport and the big clubs. The west, around San Antonio, is famous for its sunsets and lively bars, with sandy bays such as Cala Tarida further down the coast. The east, around Santa Eulària, Es Canar and Cala Llonga, is calmer and popular with families, while the north, around Portinatx, is the quietest and greenest part of the island.

Arriving in Ibiza and getting around
Flights from the UK to Ibiza airport (IBZ) take just under three hours. The airport is in the south of the island, around 15 minutes from Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa, about 25 minutes from San Antonio and Santa Eulària, and around 40 minutes from Portinatx.
Buses link the main towns and resorts, but a hire car is the easiest way to explore the island's coves. Fast ferries to Formentera leave from Ibiza Town's port and take around 30 minutes.

When to visit Ibiza
May, June, September and October are the sweet spot, with temperatures of roughly 22 to 26°C, a warm sea and thinner crowds. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, at around 30°C, with the clubs in full swing.
